Principal Investigator – Christopher Smith, PhD, CMI

Dr. Smith completed his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Salisbury University, his Master of Arts in Medical Illustration from Johns Hopkins University, and his Master’s and Doctor of Philosophy in Biological Anthropology from The City University of New York/ New York Consortium in Evolutionary Primatology. In addition to his scientific work, Dr. Smith is also a board-certified biomedical illustrator. His lab studies the interplay of structural constraints, developmental processes, and adaptive pressures that influence the form and function of mammalian sensory systems and how they ultimately shape human perception and behavior.
